Love Those Boys!

Nate sent pictures of Jackson... he is sooo cute! Nate says that he loves dirt, as his shirt says. He helps his dad in the yard each day. We can't wait to get back down to see him. He has grown so much.

A Picture is Worth a 1000 Words!

Our Grandsons are amazing!

Cute Grandsons!

We were able to visit with M/K and to get to know J again - he forgets who we are since visits are so far between. What a cute little guy...as long as he can see his mother! He is all "mommy's boy" although he loves his daddy too. We loved going to the 'Baby Fair' and seeing all of the sights there. J loved the big 'people'. It was fun to be there for Sacrament Meeting to hear both M & K talk. They did a great job. But as you can guess, J was not about to stay with Grandma and Grandpa without his mommy being there with us, so M & K took turns being on the stand but it all worked out well.

Dad loved his visit with S. They saw and did wonderful things in Vegas. Wished that I would have sent the camera with him so we could have had pictures of the dam and the new North Las Vegas which dad got the land annexed into the city when he was there.

Prophet of the World - President Thomas S. Monson

With A Grateful Heart!

What a comfort and joy it is to have received the witness of the Spirit in knowing that we have a true Prophet of God to lead His work here and now on the earth at this time. It was with power that the Spirit bore witness that President/Prophet Monson was indeed whom the Lord wanted to lead His work and that he had been called of God. This witness came as President Monson spoke to the media on Monday. There is no doubt that he is the Prophet to lead Jesus Christ's Church at this time. We are honored to be a part of this great work in these last days. How grateful I am for such an honor!

We miss President Hinckley

What a privilege it has been to have lived at that time of President Gordon B. Hinckley!
I recall being in the SLC Temple with other Family Members at the time of President Benson's death and going to the elevator, only to have President Hinckley, not yet President, there running the elevator....his comment was, "I am assigned to be the elevator man today!" I was able to walk down the hall of the temple with him after exiting the elevator. I commented on how hard it was for the Church to loose President Benson. His reply was something to the effect of: "Death is part of life and we just go on as life is just a phase of it all."
What a man! We honor him and are grateful to have know him!

Winter Wonder Land of January 08

Wow, we have had winter this year! Our neighbor said that in the 40 years that he has lived here he has never seen snow like we got on Sunday. We ended up with 6-7 inches which is very rare for this part of the country. It was kind of fun to shovel off the driveway....reminded us of Utah!
