Winter Wonder Land of January 08

Wow, we have had winter this year! Our neighbor said that in the 40 years that he has lived here he has never seen snow like we got on Sunday. We ended up with 6-7 inches which is very rare for this part of the country. It was kind of fun to shovel off the driveway....reminded us of Utah!

It was fun to be with the "Boys at old Sacramento on the day after Christmas!

The old train museum was amazing! One train rocked and rolled so that you felt like you were really riding on a moving train. Another one dining car had service settings for each of the railroad companies. They were fun to see!

And of course we loved being with little J. He allowed us to hold him as long as he could see his mother! This is his new Christmas outfit...hat and all!

J was fun to be around.....although he loves his Mommy best, he allowed us to hold him every now and then and that was fun.
We went to Sacramento a day early and come home a day later than planned since we missed a storm both ways. So thanks to M/K for our extended stay!!! It was very fun!

It was sooooo fun to have A home for a short while. We kept him busy doing all the electronic stuff that we got for Christmas.....not that we understand it all yet but we got a good start on it anyway. And I have been organizing my computer pictures too with his teaching.
It is always prayers answered when everyone makes it back where they belong though after a fun time together.

S added much to making the day great! He flew in to Sacramento on Christmas Eve in time to eat the left overs of the great Christmas Eve Dinner that M & K fixed for us and the guests......mmmmm good! I have made his famous stuffing and cranberries and K's cake is always wonderful!

It was fun to have C & R come over to M & K's for Christmas Day! Cute couple!!
Of course it wouldn't be family without one of Mother's crazy games to play....but it turned out that C & R were great at doing it so it was good that they came!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2008!

It was fun to have Christmas with M & K & J! A new adventure for us as we haven't spent Christmas away from home since we have had kids.... it was only the first two Christmas' after we were married that we spent away. (We did have M for the 2nd one that we spent at the ranch.)
